Contract Management Advisor

About the role

Zain, a mobile telecommunications operator in the Middle East, is hiring a Contract Management Advisor in its Legal Affairs division in Amman, Jordan. The role gives detailed advice on all legal matters, including reviewing contracts and agreements, advising on the company's interests and following up on company cases in court.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal input to negotiations with legal and commercial third parties on agreements and contracts to align with Zain's strategic goals.
• Prepare and review company contracts and ensure they comply with government laws and terms and conditions.
• Advise departments on the laws and regulations affecting their work to improve decision-making.
• Analyze bids and proposals so that customer, vendor and employee agreements are legal and compliant with company policy.
• Identify and assess risks and opportunities when drafting contract clauses.
• Take part in contractual negotiations and build trusted relationships with service providers.
• Represent the company in lawsuits, handling investigation, statements of claim and defence, pleadings, witness meetings, pre-trial and trial procedures, settlement and appeals, and attend before judges.
• Handle registration and protection of patents and trademarks, and advise on related legal and regulatory changes.
• Give corporate law advice on setting up new companies and follow up on existing ones.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law.
• Preferred: 2 years of relevant experience.
