Courier – On‑site Delivery Specialist

About the role

SMSA Express is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Courier to join its Jordan operations. The role involves picking up, transporting, and delivering parcels and documents safely and on time while adhering to company procedures and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery routes and load/unload packages efficiently.
• Obtain required signatures and documentation for each delivery.
• Maintain accurate delivery records using handheld devices or paperwork.
• Interact professionally with customers, answer delivery inquiries, and ensure parcels are handled with care.
• Keep the assigned vehicle in good condition, report any issues promptly, and collaborate with the operations team to resolve routing challenges.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear communication skills.
• Experience or familiarity with logistics management, route planning, and time‑sensitive deliveries.
• Background in service‑oriented environments (e.g., Food & Beverage) is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to operate delivery vehicles safely.
• Good physical stamina to lift and move packages within weight limits.
• Basic literacy and numeracy for reading instructions and logging deliveries.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Jordan and adhere to safety and security guidelines.
