Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist to monitor, review and analyse privileged and administrative activity logs across the bank’s critical systems. The role uses SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools to detect suspicious behaviour, policy violations and security anomalies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review privileged and administrative user activities through SIEM logs and security monitoring solutions.
• Analyze logs from network devices, operating systems, databases, applications and security tools.
• Investigate abnormal or unauthorized activities and escalate incidents as needed.
• Correlate events from multiple sources to identify threats, misuse or insider risks.
• Fine‑tune SIEM use cases, correlation rules and alerts to improve monitoring efficiency.
• Ensure proper log collection, integrity, retention and visibility across critical systems.
• Develop scripting‑based automation to handle repetitive review and validation tasks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of monitoring procedures and review activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in security monitoring, log analysis or privileged access management.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+ or CEH (preferred).
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM solutions and security monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of network security concepts, OS log events and database activity monitoring.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
• Competence with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI for reporting.
