GIS/Data Visualization Specialist – MELA Team

About the role

The GIS/Data Visualization Specialist will support data management, analysis, and visualization activities for the Jordan Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Analytics (MELA) work order, turning complex quantitative and qualitative information into clear, user‑friendly visual products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support GIS and data visualization work across Jordan MELA activities.
• Produce maps, dashboards, charts, infographics, and other visual products that communicate findings clearly and effectively.
• Develop spatial analyses and GIS products to support planning, monitoring, coverage analysis, and decision‑making.
• Clean, organize, and prepare data for visualization and mapping purposes.
• Collaborate with technical staff to translate program data into accessible visual formats for diverse audiences.
• Support the design and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reporting tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, data science, statistics, information systems, international development, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in GIS, data visualization, or data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience developing maps, dashboards, and other visualization products.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and quality‑assurance skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ArcGIS.
• Experience using Power BI.
• Experience using Tableau.
