Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Pipelines

About the role

Nexttec Technology is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and real‑time streaming data.
• Integrate data from ERP systems (Oracle EBS, Fusion, NetSuite), REST APIs, and external sources, handling pagination, rate limits, and schema changes.
• Implement incremental loading strategies using timestamps, change tracking, and CDC where applicable.
• Maintain Bronze, Silver, and Gold lakehouse layers, ensuring data is clean, standardized, and analytics‑ready.
• Apply data security best practices to meet GDPR, HIPAA, and company policies, including backup and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Collaborate with business, IT, and cybersecurity teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize pipeline performance, cost, and query efficiency, and resolve any data‑related issues.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated data workflow deployment.

• Highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer.
• Proven ability to work closely with data scientists, analysts, and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong focus on data quality, security, and compliance.

Required skills

• Microsoft Fabric components (Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse).
• ETL/ELT design and implementation.
• Real‑time streaming and batch processing.
• Google BigQuery.
• Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, NetSuite.
• REST API integration, pagination handling.
• Change Data Capture (CDC) and incremental loading techniques.
• CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
• Data security standards (GDPR, HIPAA) and disaster‑recovery planning.
