Data Engineer

About the role

We are a team dedicated to the positive impact of gaming and AI on learning, helping enterprises shift from video to gamified learning experiences. We are looking for a senior data engineer to own Pixaera's end‑to‑end data platform, including pipelines, warehouse, transformations and customer‑facing dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer‑facing dashboards and reporting that show activity, completion and performance.
• Own the full data platform: ingestion with Fivetran, storage in Snowflake, and transformations with dbt.
• Convert raw learning and assessment data into actionable insights and move toward near‑real‑time reporting.
• Ensure reliability and cost efficiency of pipelines, balancing incremental and full‑refresh models.
• Develop data products beyond dashboards such as APIs, reports and exports.
• Partner with backend and frontend engineers to embed clean data practices into new product features.

Required profile

• Significant professional experience as a data engineer, senior enough to own a platform and its outputs.
• Proven ability to master new concepts and technologies independently.
• Strong analytical skills for modelling data and supporting business processes.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Fluent written and spoken English and self‑motivated to thrive in a fully remote environment.
• AI‑native mindset, comfortable using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code.
