Deputy Country Director for Support Services (Palestine Emergency)

About the role

The Deputy Country Director for Support Services will work under the Country Director to lead and coordinate the Human Resources, Logistics and Finance functions for the Palestine emergency response based in Amman, Jordan. The role focuses on developing, improving and implementing processes that align with Humanity & Inclusion policies and the overall country strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and functional guidance to HR, Logistics and Finance managers.
• Implement the Shared Services strategy in line with country and emergency readiness priorities.
• Coach and build capacity of support services managers to enhance decision‑making and strategic ownership.
• Ensure compliance with financial, logistical and HR regulations and HI standards.
• Support the development of managerial competencies and align them with HI competency frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in managing HR, Logistics and Finance within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, coaching and capacity strengthening.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian support services and emergency readiness.
• Experience in process development, improvement and implementation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with country leadership and external partners.
