Deputy Team Leader – Jordan Growth and Prosperity Programme

About the role

Palladium is seeking a Deputy Team Leader for the Jordan Growth and Prosperity (JGAP) programme, funded by the UK FCDO. The role provides technical leadership for Market Systems Development (MSD) interventions and supports macro‑economic reform efforts, ensuring that programme strategy translates into effective on‑the‑ground delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of MSD interventions across priority sectors, maintaining technical quality and relevance.
• Ensure coherence between macro‑level policy advisory and micro‑level market interventions.
• Support the Team Leader in overall programme management and stakeholder coordination.
• Oversee day‑to‑day delivery execution, monitoring progress and guaranteeing technical quality assurance.
• Collaborate with government officials, private‑sector partners, and donors to align activities with programme objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in economic development programmes, particularly in market‑systems or private‑sector development.
• Strong understanding of macro‑economic stability issues such as debt management and fiscal pressures.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into concrete project plans and deliverables.
• Experience working with government agencies and international donors.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
