Electrical Engineer – Production & Maintenance

About the role

BAT is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the smooth operation of production lines. You will work closely with the maintenance team to resolve machine issues, improve processes, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve machine breakdowns and keep production lines running continuously.
• Analyse failures, propose improvements, and consider budget and manufacturing costs.
• Participate in Line Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and execute daily plans.
• Maintain adherence to maintenance schedules and coordinate with OEMs when required.
• Liaise with the Factory Maintenance Lead to schedule and prioritize maintenance work.
• Support IE DMS compliance with guards, interlocks, safety maps, and EHS standards.
• Own the DMS for the IWS agenda in Jordan and cascade knowledge to shop‑floor teams.
• Contribute to the annual maintenance plan by providing line insights and requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to coach, train, and collaborate with colleagues.
• Basic problem‑solving ability and openness to change.
• Good prioritisation skills and high personal accountability.

Required skills

• Advanced understanding of electrical processes.
• Good understanding of mechanical processes.
• Knowledge of maintenance scheduling and OEM liaison.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
