Electrician – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a skilled Electrician to join its engineering and facilities team at the Dead Sea Road location in Sweimeh, Jordan. The role involves installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning tools, equipment, and electrical systems.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components; use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring and fixtures according to job specifications, the National Electric Code, and local codes.
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics; respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school education.
• At least 2 years of related electrical work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Experience using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of circuit breakers, transformers, and electrical codes (National Electric Code, local codes).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
