Engineering Manager – ERP & CRM

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of Syarah’s ERP and CRM platforms. In this hybrid technical‑people role you will guide a team of backend engineers, shape the product roadmap and ensure reliable, scalable systems that support sales, finance, inventory and customer operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and grow a team of backend engineers working with Python (Frappe/ERPNext) and PHP.
• Own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of ERP and CRM platforms that run core business functions.
• Set clear team and individual OKRs, align engineering execution with company objectives and track outcomes.
• Run end‑to‑end performance management including 1:1s, feedback, reviews and recognition.
• Mentor engineers, deepen technical ownership and foster a culture of accountability.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for code quality, architecture, testing, security and documentation.
• Direct technical customisations, modules and integrations for ERPNext/Frappe and PHP‑based CRM applications.
• Design and deliver integrations linking ERP, CRM, payments and other operational systems.
• Partner with finance, operations, sales and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scoped engineering work.
• Drive healthy delivery practices: sprint planning, estimation, code review, CI/CD and release management.
• Own reliability, uptime and incident response for business‑critical platforms, implementing monitoring, alerting and on‑call processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong background in backend development with Python and PHP.
• Demonstrated ability to set goals, manage performance and mentor engineers.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional business stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering reliable, scalable systems in a fast‑paced environment.
