Enterprise Architect (Damascus, Syria)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Damascus seeks a senior Enterprise Architect to define and govern the architecture of a large‑scale enterprise business application platform. Arabic language skills are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the end‑to‑end enterprise architecture blueprint, covering business, application, data, integration, security and infrastructure layers.
• Lead architecture governance, technical design reviews and decision‑making processes.
• Ensure the platform meets enterprise‑scale requirements for high availability, performance, scalability and operational resilience.
• Review and guide high‑level and low‑level designs, integration patterns, data migration approaches, deployment models and operational readiness plans.
• Support integration architecture with ERP, IAM, telecom/network systems and enterprise integration layers.
• Guide legacy system transition, migration, coexistence and decommissioning strategies.
• Identify architecture risks, technical debt, scalability gaps and propose improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with business owners, security, infrastructure, data and application teams, vendors and architecture review boards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, telecom infrastructure or large‑scale platform delivery.
• Strong understanding of telecom operations, governance and service delivery environments.
• Experience with telecom operators, system integrators or large infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise platforms such as Odoo, ERPNext, Oracle EBS/Fusion, SAP, ServiceNow or Maximo.
• Experience working in regulated enterprise environments and architecture review boards.
• Exposure to large transformation programmes in the Middle East or Asia is an advantage.
