Environmental Education Facilitator

About the role

The Sustainable Research and Development Center is looking for qualified Environmental Education Facilitators to deliver short, interactive sessions in public schools across Amman. This short‑term consultancy focuses on raising adult participants’ awareness of waste management, recycling, plastic reduction, and maintaining clean school environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver participatory environmental awareness sessions using discussions, games, group activities, and demonstrations.
• Cover core topics such as environmental responsibility, waste sorting, plastic pollution, and daily sustainable practices.
• Prepare and use facilitation materials, handouts, and activity tools.
• Coordinate with the assignment team on scheduling, logistics, school access, and session arrangements.
• Ensure respectful, inclusive, and safe engagement with adult Cash‑for‑Work participants.
• Document attendance, observations, participant feedback, and approved photos.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in environmental awareness, community outreach, training, or facilitation.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills with adult learners.
• Fluency in Arabic for delivering interactive sessions.
• Experience working with vulnerable communities, refugees, or Cash‑for‑Work programmes is an advantage.
• Availability for a short‑term assignment in June 2026.
