About the role
The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall success of daily kitchen operations at Al Manara Luxury Collection Hotel. This role combines hands‑on culinary expertise with leadership of the kitchen team to deliver high‑quality food across all outlets while driving guest satisfaction and financial performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen areas, including banquets, room service, restaurants, bar/lounge, employee cafeteria, dish room and purchasing.
- Supervise cooks and food‑preparation staff, ensuring consistent quality, sanitation and food‑safety standards.
- Develop and mentor staff, set performance standards, and monitor results.
- Oversee purchasing and receiving procedures, implement control guidelines, and manage budgetary goals.
- Maintain open communication, solicit employee feedback, and ensure fair application of hotel policies.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the team.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of culinary/F&B experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field with at least 4 years of experience.
- Proven ability to lead kitchen operations in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of sanitation, food‑safety standards, and purchasing controls.
