Experienced Associate – Audit & Assurance (External Audit) – Qatar

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Experienced Associate to join its Audit & Assurance team within the Jordanian Resources Center (JRC) in Qatar. The role focuses on external audit engagements, supporting clients across various industries while upholding Deloitte’s standards of quality and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding service expectations and delivering high‑quality audit services.
• Adapt and issue referral instructions that clearly define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate and complete information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and integrate risks, controls, procedures, and findings into the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and contribute to the overall audit quality framework.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in external audit, preferably within a large professional services firm.
• Strong understanding of regulatory impact, risk management, and business processes.
• Ability to analyse key statistics and industry matters before engagements begin.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse audit teams.
