Experienced Associate - External Audit (Jordanian Resources Center)

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an Experienced Associate in Audit & Assurance (External Audit) for its Jordanian Resources Center, based in Amman but working on the UAE market. The associate works within the audit team, liaising with onshore and offshore centres of excellence and preparing audit documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding their service level expectations
• Deliver high-quality services with awareness of regulation and risk management impacts on controls
• Research entity statistics and industry matters before the engagement begins
• Adapt template referral instructions to define the scope of procedures and the audit focus
• Liaise with onshore and offshore centres of excellence and track deliverables from component auditors
• Link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file and articulate audit quality milestones
• Challenge the timing of the audit plan and prepare documentation anticipating reviewer questions
• Develop relationships beyond finance, apply professional scepticism and follow practice protection policies
• Use AI responsibly in audits, validating outputs and respecting confidentiality and data integrity

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field; graduate degree desired
• 2+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably in big audit firms
• Supervision of staff, inspection of client financial records, analysis of data, preparation of audit reports and resolution of accounting research issues
• Ability to plan and manage engagements and people to meet deadlines
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing); bilingual Arabic/English preferred
• International accounting qualification desired: CA, ACCA or CPA, preferably CA
