F&B Service Expert - Waiter

About the role

As an F&B Service Expert (Waiter) at Marriott International you will help create memorable dining experiences for guests. You will set tables, communicate orders to the kitchen, serve food and beverages, and keep work areas clean while consistently applying safety and quality standards. The role involves delivering a wide range of services that make each guest’s meal feel part of a unique hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Set and arrange tables and dining areas according to Marriott standards for each service period.
• Take guest orders, relay them accurately to the kitchen, and serve food and beverages promptly.
• Interact with guests in a professional manner, addressing requests and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of service stations, tables, and surrounding areas.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite orders and resolve any service issues.
• Maintain inventory of service supplies and assist with opening and closing duties.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and uniform and appearance guidelines.
• Handle menu information, read and visually verify items, and assist guests with menu questions.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb unaided (50 lb with assistance), and moving on sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related food‑and‑beverage service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Amman and follow all safety and quality standards.
