Field Officer – Rihab (Jordan)

About the role

The Field Officer will be based in Rihab, Jordan, and will coordinate the implementation of the RISE project activities in the targeted area. The role focuses on strengthening community engagement, adapting project approaches to the local context, and supporting local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with local authorities, associations, and community stakeholders.
• Lead stakeholder mapping and develop an engagement strategy.
• Coordinate with AVSI’s partner FPEC on beneficiary selection and project implementation.
• Develop and follow weekly/monthly activity plans, tracking progress against the shared calendar.
• Ensure timely, quality delivery of project activities in collaboration with partners and local authorities.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate operational risks, proposing corrective actions to the Project Manager.
• Support and supervise youth contracted for project tasks.

Required profile

• Resides in Rihab or can ensure a reliable daily commute to the site.
• Experience coordinating development or humanitarian projects in a similar context.
• Fluent in Arabic.
• Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with local authorities and community leaders.
