Finance Associate (G-6), 9-month Temporary Appointment

About the role

The Finance Associate supports UNICEF Jordan’s accounting and finance functions on a nine‑month temporary basis. Working under the supervision of the NOB Accounting and Finance Officer, the role ensures accurate processing of invoices, bank transactions, cash transfers and payroll for the country office.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify programme invoices, ensuring correct coding, completeness and funding availability.
• Serve as the focal point for the Global Shared Service Center in Budapest, submitting invoices, payment requests and handling general accounting cases.
• Follow up banking issues, request account replenishments for JCO & MENARO accounts, and resolve items arising from monthly bank reconciliations.
• Check Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) requests, liquidations and reclassifications.
• Participate in HACT assurance activities, conducting spot checks on Implementing Partners.
• Execute monthly payroll activities, identify funding gaps and confirm payment accuracy in coordination with HR and budget teams.

• Ability to liaise with internal units, the Global Shared Service Center and external partners.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for invoice and bank reconciliation tasks.
