Fit-Out Engineer

About the role

The Fit-Out Engineer will lead interior fit‑out works on construction sites, ensuring that quality, safety, schedule and cost objectives are achieved in line with project specifications and company standards. This role involves close coordination with trades, subcontractors, consultants and clients to deliver successful interior projects across commercial, hospitality, retail and residential sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily fit‑out activities, trades and subcontractors to meet approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate site logistics, material deliveries and inspections; verify dimensions, levels and finishes.
• Review and interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings and method statements; raise RFIs for any discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks and maintain look‑ahead programmes, progress reports and site records.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and internal teams to obtain approvals and manage handovers.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging and preparation of final handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Site/Fit‑Out Engineer on interior projects.
• Strong knowledge of finishes, joinery, MEP coordination and relevant codes/standards.
• Proven ability to read drawings, manage subcontractors and control quality, cost and time.
• Solid understanding of HSE practices.
