Freelance Mathematics & Python Expert for AI Training

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Mathematics & Python expert to support AI training projects. You will create original computational mathematics problems that mimic real research workflows and validate them with Python code.

Key responsibilities

• Design mathematically rigorous problems in areas such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis.
• Ensure each problem requires substantial computational effort and cannot be solved manually within reasonable time.
• Implement solution verification using Python libraries (NumPy, SciPy, SymPy) and document both problem statements and correct answers.
• Base problem sets on real research challenges or practical applications from mathematical practice.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics (pure or applied) or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in research, applied mathematics, or teaching.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
• Ability to design problems that reflect genuine mathematical research workflows.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• NumPy, SciPy, SymPy.
• MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Pandas (any equivalent technical stack is acceptable).
• Numerical methods and symbolic computation.
• Understanding of computational complexity theory.
