Freight Manager – Operations & Team Supervision

About the role

The Freight Manager will lead the daily operations team responsible for air, sea, land and express shipments. This role ensures seamless coordination across departments, maintains high service quality, and acts as the primary backup during staff absences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily operations team handling all freight modalities.
• Coordinate between departments to monitor workflow efficiency and resolve escalations.
• Provide hands‑on coverage as the operational backup during vacations, leaves or staff transitions.
• Track team attendance, punctuality and ensure full operational coverage.
• Calculate monthly commissions, performance bonuses and deductions based on KPI evaluations.
• Monitor and drive performance against set KPIs, coaching the team to meet operational benchmarks.
• Align daily activities with company growth targets, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee ERP usage, ensure data accuracy, and train staff on system updates.
• Develop and improve operational procedures, monitor shipment performance and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising freight or logistics operations teams.
• Strong ability to handle escalations and provide immediate operational solutions.
• Experience with KPI monitoring and performance‑based incentive management.
• Capability to train staff and ensure ERP system proficiency.
