Front Desk Agent

About the role
We are looking for a Front Desk Agent to be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering a warm and personalized experience both in person and over the phone. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out processes while supporting the overall operation of the hotel.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests enthusiastically, providing a special welcome to IHG One Rewards members and returning visitors.
- Handle guest check‑ins and check‑outs efficiently, including ID verification, key issuance, safety‑deposit‑box management, and accurate cash or credit transactions.
- Answer phone calls promptly, manage reservations, cancellations, and inquiries, and promote up‑selling opportunities.
- Record guest preferences, respond to requests and concerns, and involve management when necessary.
- Collaborate daily with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties to support colleagues as needed.
- Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and maintain a professional appearance as a brand ambassador.
Required profile
- Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer‑service orientation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work accurately with cash, credit cards and guest information.
- Team player who can coordinate with multiple hotel departments.
- Attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs.
