Front End Washer Mechanic

About the role

The Front End Washer Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring optimal operation of front‑end washing machinery in our can manufacturing plant. The role supports continuous production flow and product quality through hands‑on mechanical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments on all front‑end washing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in washing machines.
• Repair, rebuild, or replace faulty components such as pumps, motors, conveyors, sensors, and spray nozzles.
• Calibrate and align equipment to meet operating parameters and quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance, identify potential problems, and implement proactive solutions to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimise washing processes and resolve operational concerns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts usage, and equipment performance logs.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new washing equipment as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing setting, preferably with industrial washing equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field is highly desirable.
