About the role
Aspire is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS. You will work in a remote‑first environment alongside cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance APIs and support integrations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs with Node.js and NestJS.
- Build scalable, maintainable server‑side applications.
- Design, implement, and consume RESTful APIs and integration services.
- Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
- Implement caching solutions (Redis) and optimise backend performance.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver new features.
- Support troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Contribute to clean architecture, code quality, and backend best practices.
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Work within Agile development methodologies and continuously improve scalability and reliability.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 2–4 years of backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and familiarity with NestJS.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB.
- Understanding of caching technologies like Redis.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS is a plus).
- Knowledge of clean code principles and software design patterns.
- Problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with REST and SOAP integrations, asynchronous programming concepts, and monitoring tools such as New Relic or CloudWatch.
- Experience working in Agile environments and awareness of IT security best practices (ISO/SOC).
