Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Aspire is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS. You will work in a remote‑first environment alongside cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance APIs and support integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs with Node.js and NestJS.
• Build scalable, maintainable server‑side applications.
• Design, implement, and consume RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Implement caching solutions (Redis) and optimise backend performance.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver new features.
• Support troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Contribute to clean architecture, code quality, and backend best practices.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Work within Agile development methodologies and continuously improve scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and familiarity with NestJS.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB.
• Understanding of caching technologies like Redis.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS is a plus).
• Knowledge of clean code principles and software design patterns.
• Problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with REST and SOAP integrations, asynchronous programming concepts, and monitoring tools such as New Relic or CloudWatch.
• Experience working in Agile environments and awareness of IT security best practices (ISO/SOC).
