Full/Associate/Assistant Professor of Multimedia (Relocation to Kuwait)

About the role

The School of Architecture and Design at the American International University (AIU) in Kuwait seeks a full‑time faculty member in Multimedia Design. The position is open at the rank of Full Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor, depending on experience, and requires relocation to Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses in multimedia design, including interactive media, animation, video production, motion graphics and digital storytelling.
• Integrate emerging technologies such as virtual/augmented reality, AI‑assisted design tools and immersive media into the curriculum.
• Develop and update course content to meet industry standards and accreditation requirements.
• Supervise senior projects and guide students in building digital portfolios.
• Maintain an active research or professional creative practice, publish scholarly work and present at conferences.
• Participate in exhibitions, digital showcases and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Contribute to departmental and university committees, accreditation activities and student recruitment.

Required profile

• PhD in Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication or a related field, or an MFA from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years of university‑level teaching experience for senior ranks, with proven studio‑based instruction.
• Strong professional portfolio demonstrating work in multimedia, motion design, animation or interactive media.
• Proficiency with industry‑standard software and tools.

• Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
