Gateway Agent – Import/Export Operations

About the role

The Gateway Agent supports daily import and export activities at the AMM Gateway, ensuring timely clearance of inbound and outbound shipments. Reporting to the Gateway supervisor, the role works across shifts to maintain high‑service standards for DHL’s express customers.

Key responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound shipments, following DHL Gateway manual and GSOP safety procedures.
• Provide high‑level customer service, addressing queries on transit times, customs paperwork, and shipment status.
• Update clearance status daily using DHL applications and create network visibility checkpoints with appropriate exception codes.
• Maintain a clean desk, organize paper documents systematically, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Identify recurring issues, report them, and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams—including ground operations, air operations, sales, and accounting—to achieve Gateway KPIs.
