Gateway Agent – Import/Export Operations

About the role

The Gateway Agent is responsible for daily import and export activities at AMM Gateway, handling inbound flight recovery and clearance as well as outbound flight export. The role supports achieving Gateway KPIs through teamwork and shift-based tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level customer service for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring instant action for express requirements.
• Follow inbound clearance procedures per the Gateway manual and GSOP safety practices.
• Maintain a clean desk policy and systematic filing of paperwork for easy access.
• Update clearance status daily using DHL applications and create checkpoints with appropriate exception codes.
• Communicate accurate information on transit times, customs paperwork, packing, accounting, and sales queries.
• Identify recurring problems, log traces, and trigger corrective actions promptly.

Required profile

• Sound educational background with knowledge of the service industry.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and handle stress in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent planning, organising, and team‑working abilities.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
