General Practitioner

About the role

This full-time, on-site position is for a General Practitioner based in Amman. The role involves delivering primary care services, including patient consultations, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. You will also educate patients and families on disease prevention and health promotion.

Key responsibilities

• Prescribe medications and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate care with nursing and specialist teams.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure clinical governance.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health promotion.
• Participate in clinical meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Support training and mentorship of junior staff when required.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a valid license to practice as a General Practitioner.
• Strong clinical foundation in medicine and primary care, with experience or training in family medicine.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and use of clinical systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑centered, culturally sensitive approach.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence‑based practice.
