About the role
The Guest Services Attendant ensures smooth communication and exceptional service for hotel guests and staff. Working within the telephone department and front‑office administration, you will be the first point of contact for internal and external calls, coordinate emergency communications, and support daily operational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Answer and route all telephone calls according to the hotel’s Operating Service Manual (OSM).
- Monitor logs of long‑distance calls, faxes, and messages.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of manager whereabouts and contact details.
- Coordinate hotel‑wide communication during emergencies.
- Prepare weekly store orders and manage stock levels.
- Ensure staff adhere to the “Welcome Charter” and grooming standards.
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, rooms, restaurants, and events.
- Attend scheduled training sessions and briefings.
Required profile
- Well‑groomed, punctual and dressed to uniform standards.
- Polite, courteous and able to treat guests and colleagues with respect.
- Strong product knowledge of all hotel facilities and services.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and react promptly.
- Awareness of health, safety, fire and security procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional discretion.
