Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager drives the day‑to‑day operational performance of a hotel, covering rooms, food & beverage, banqueting & events, and overall guest experience. Working closely with the General Manager and departmental leaders, the role ensures commercial focus, brand compliance, safety and consistent service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on leadership and oversight of daily hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to brand standards.
• Maintain a strong operational presence during peak periods, major events, high occupancy, VIP arrivals and high‑volume F&B service.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify operational challenges, service gaps and productivity opportunities.
• Review and improve operating procedures, staffing deployment, opening/closing routines and guest touchpoints.
• Lead structured operational reviews, monitor action implementation and sustain improvements.
• Conduct regular hotel inspections, walk‑throughs and back‑of‑house reviews to uphold cleanliness, safety and service standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Security, Front Office, F&B, Culinary and Sales to resolve guest‑experience issues.
• Provide operational leadership across restaurants, bars, lounges, in‑room dining, banqueting and catering outlets.
• Ensure F&B outlets deliver strong guest experiences while meeting revenue, profitability and cost‑control targets.
• Monitor F&B cost of sales, payroll productivity, wastage, inventory controls and other key cost drivers.
