Head Storekeeper (Internal Candidates Only)

About the role

The Head Storekeeper will lead the receipt, custody, and distribution of goods in the UNRWA warehouse in Jordan. Reporting to the Warehousing Officer, the incumbent ensures accurate stock records, safety compliance, and efficient warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise receipt, storage, and issuance of all commodities, maintaining up‑to‑date stock control records.
• Oversee accurate ERP transaction processing for goods receipts, issues, transfers, and deliveries.
• Manage warehouse staff and contractors, ensuring safety, security, and access control.
• Maintain warehouse facilities, including repairs, upgrades, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate timely loading and off‑loading of trucks to various destinations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse management or storekeeping, preferably in a large‑scale humanitarian or UN environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and safety regulations.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage contractor activities.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.

Required skills

• ERP systems (experience with UNRWA’s ERP preferred).
