Host/Hostess – Guest Reception Specialist

About the role

The Host/Hostess welcomes guests at Marasi Food & Beverage Services in Amman, ensuring a smooth and pleasant first impression. This full-time, on-site position involves managing the flow of diners, handling reservations, and supporting the front-of-house team.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Maintain and manage the waiting list and reservation system.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate venue and menu information.
• Coordinate seating flow with servers and kitchen staff to optimise table turnover.
• Keep the reception and waiting area tidy and organized.
• Address guest concerns promptly and courteously.
• Follow health, safety and company service standards at all times.

Required profile

• Strong customer-facing abilities with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette.
• Experience in reservations, table assignments or guest flow in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Ability to stay calm, multitask during peak periods and work collaboratively.
• Previous hospitality or restaurant experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English; additional local languages are a plus.
• Professional appearance, punctuality and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
