About the role

The HR Planning and Development Engineer will support business enhancement projects and conduct manpower studies across operational and support departments. Using industrial engineering tools, you will determine optimal headcount, advise on scheduling mechanisms, and lead key HR programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct manpower planning studies using industrial engineering concepts to optimise headcount and workflow.
  • Implement HR programs focused on employee retention, succession planning, talent management and recognition.
  • Prepare regular reports (monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, annual) on headcount, position levels, service years, age bands, leaves, training, travel, staff cost, turnover, overtime and work injuries.
  • Benchmark organisational structures, HR programs and scheduling mechanisms against other airlines and the regional aviation market.
  • Update organisational structures and job descriptions periodically.
  • Calculate turnover rates and ensure they align with industry standards.
  • Design process charts for HR functions to ensure consistent operations and approval cycles.
  • Conduct internal equity studies, evaluate promotion eligibility and provide recommendations.
  • Review appraisal forms, attend calibration meetings and prepare HR reports for regulatory bodies.
  • Perform ad‑hoc HR studies and present findings to senior management.

Required profile

  • Strong understanding of manpower calculation methods and time‑and‑motion studies.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction at all organisational levels.
  • Proven project‑management and follow‑up abilities.
  • Capability to present and document studies and reports for senior leadership.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
