IBM DataPower Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IBM DataPower Developer to design, configure, and optimize integration solutions in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of hands‑on experience with DataPower and a strong background in middleware and secure web services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain integration solutions using IBM DataPower.
• Design and implement transformation logic with XSLT.
• Work with XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, and REST‑based web services.
• Configure and manage DataPower services such as Multi‑Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy, and XML Firewall.
• Implement and manage security protocols and policies, including OAuth, SSL/TLS, and AAA.
• Troubleshoot and debug integration issues, performing performance tuning of DataPower services.
• Collaborate with development, integration, and technical teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
• Work independently while contributing to a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IBM DataPower development.
• Strong understanding of SOA and middleware integration concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with XSLT development and transformation logic.
• Solid knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, and REST.
• Experience configuring DataPower MPGW, Web Service Proxy, and XML Firewall.
• Good understanding of OAuth, SSL/TLS, AAA, and integration security.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, debug, and performance‑tune DataPower services.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Telecom domain experience is a plus; exposure to IBM API Connect or other API management platforms is advantageous.
