Information Management Consultant (Remote, 5 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Information Management consultant to support the finalisation and rollout of its MENA Information Management Strategy and to develop a Monitoring Framework for the Programme Planning, Monitoring and Research (PPMR) Section. The assignment is remote and lasts for five months.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the regional IM strategy into practical guidance, tools and methodologies for country offices.
• Develop and pilot a Monitoring Framework that aligns with the new IM approach.
• Provide capacity‑building support to improve data flows, data quality and the usability of information for programme decision‑making.
• Collaborate with PPMR staff and regional partners to ensure consistency and coherence across IM functions.
• Document lessons learned and produce recommendations for scaling up successful practices.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in information management, monitoring & evaluation, or a related field.
• Proven experience working on IM or M&E projects in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably in the MENA region.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to design data‑driven tools and frameworks.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
