Information Technology Support Specialist

About the role

Transmed is seeking an experienced Information Technology Support Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of its internal IT services and to support the technology needs of customers and suppliers. The role involves delivering high‑quality IT support, managing assets, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to continuously improve the IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for first‑line and escalated IT support, handling help‑desk tickets, service requests, and incidents.
• Install, update, and configure software applications and operating systems on desktops, laptops, mobile, and network devices.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure software license compliance.
• Enforce security best practices, including data backup, antivirus protection, and access control.
• Create, modify, and disable user accounts, managing permissions and access rights.
• Provide remote support to off‑site employees and document procedures, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Monitor system performance, generate reports, and proactively address issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist in hardware and software procurement, recommending solutions aligned with the organization’s IT strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in IT support or services.
• Flexibility to work occasional after‑hours or on days off for critical issues or projects.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused attitude.
