Instructional Designer (eLearning) – Remote Consulting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to create a self‑paced eLearning program for journalists. This remote, limited‑term consulting contract focuses on turning subject‑matter expert material into a structured, commercially viable learning product.

Key responsibilities

• Structure content into courses, modules, and lessons.
• Design clear learning flows and progression for self‑paced learners.
• Translate newsroom experience into engaging video, exercises, and case‑study formats.
• Develop a repeatable course template usable across multiple topics.
• Provide strategic input on packaging, pricing, and positioning of sellable courses.
• Recommend LMS/platform solutions and share best practices for successful self‑paced programs.

Required profile

• Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written).
• Proven experience in eLearning or online course design.
• Experience collaborating with subject‑matter experts.
• Demonstrated ability to design self‑paced learning programs.
• Capability to think both educationally and commercially.
• Bonus: background in journalism, media, OSINT, or research.
