Integration Specialist – API & Middleware

About the role

The Integration Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of enterprise integration services, APIs, queues and middleware components. You will act as a key point of contact for incident resolution and support continuous improvement of integration processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor integration services, APIs, scheduled interfaces and middleware components.
• Investigate failed transactions, authentication errors, timeouts, data‑mapping issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Coordinate incident resolution with application, database, network, security and external integration teams.
• Support approved configuration changes, certificate updates, endpoint modifications, deployments and release validation.
• Maintain interface catalogues, dependency maps, specifications, runbooks and known‑error records.
• Enforce secure API and integration practices, including logging, traceability and access controls.
• Identify changes requiring new development or integration scope and route them through formal approval.
• Provide technical input for root‑cause analysis and service reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of enterprise integration and middleware support experience.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, authentication mechanisms, certificates and integration monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with MuleSoft, Boomi or an equivalent integration platform.
• Practical troubleshooting experience across distributed application environments.
• Ability to maintain accurate technical specifications and interface documentation.
