InterSystems Developer – Healthcare IT

About the role

The InterSystems Developer will design, implement, maintain, and support the IRIS infrastructure and related healthcare applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to align system capabilities with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes to ingest healthcare data into FHIR resources and profiles.
• Design scalable, high‑volume integration solutions using IRIS for Health, Ensemble, Cache, and ObjectScript.
• Create and manage tables, classes, APIs, and backend code for client solutions.
• Implement and support HL7v2, HL7v3, FHIR, CDA, and X12 interfaces.
• Maintain data mapping specifications and FHIR‑based data models for downstream APIs.
• Configure ISC API Manager and develop REST/SOAP web services for data exchange.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations (HIPAA) and implement security controls.

Required profile

• Experience with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, HL7, CDA, X12.
• Strong knowledge of terminology mappings (SNOMED, ICD, LOINC) and data privacy requirements.
