IT Support Officer

About the role

The IT Support Officer will provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to staff and teachers at Amman Academy, ensuring that classroom and office technology runs smoothly. This role is based on‑site in Amman and supports a bilingual IB environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line IT support to all school personnel.
• Install, configure and maintain smartboards, computers, printers and other classroom equipment.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications and manage user accounts.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues.
• Maintain accurate IT inventory records and documentation.
• Support classroom technology during lessons as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Previous IT support experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 suite.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Installation and configuration of smartboards, computers and printers.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• IT inventory and documentation management.
