Junior Product Manager

About the role

Equiti, a fintech firm providing brokerage services and online trading platforms in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Product Manager in its Amman office. You will own the day-to-day running of the delivery board and backlog, work closely with engineering, QA and design, and help ensure that planned work is shipped on time and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the delivery board and backlog, keeping items accurate, up to date and linked to their epics and features
• Order the backlog according to the Product Manager's priorities and flag stale, duplicate or incomplete items during grooming
• Ensure stories meet the Definition of Ready, with clear acceptance criteria, before entering development
• Support Product Managers in writing and refining user stories, acceptance criteria and documentation in Jira and Confluence
• Track delivery daily, follow up with engineering, QA and design, and escalate blockers, dependencies and risks with clear context
• Act as the day-to-day link between business stakeholders and development teams, and run stand-ups, board reviews, bug reviews and release check-ins
• Log, review and assign bugs and incoming requests, prepare test scenarios and coordinate QA and UAT
• Assist with release coordination, release notes and post-release checks, and follow up with third-party vendors
• Take part in solution design discussions, prepare delivery status updates and track metrics such as throughput, cycle time and bug counts
• Use AI tools to work faster and better, and take on additional duties as assigned

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in product management, project management, business analysis, QA or a similar role; internships and university projects count
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong follow-through and attention to detail
• Comfortable working closely with engineers and with fast-changing priorities
• Interest in trading, financial markets or fintech is a strong advantage

Required skills

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Figma, or the ability to pick them up quickly
• Practical fluency with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, with judgement to review AI-generated output
• Agile or Kanban exposure is a plus
