Kitchen Helper

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Helper to join our hotel kitchen team. You will support chefs in daily food preparation, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and help ensure that all hygiene and safety standards are met. This role offers the chance to develop practical kitchen skills in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
• Keep workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas clean and organized at all times.
• Support receiving, storing, and rotating food items following FIFO (first‑in‑first‑out) standards.
• Set up and replenish ingredients and supplies for kitchen operations.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in line with HACCP and hotel policies.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment as required.
• Assist chefs during meal service and special events.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or stock shortages to supervisors.

Required profile

• High school education preferred.
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow instructions under pressure.
• Teamwork, reliability, willingness to learn, and strong organizational skills.
