Laundry Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Laundry Attendant to join our hotel housekeeping team. The role involves processing guest and hotel linens, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and supporting the overall laundry operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and follow the daily cleaning schedule based on the Room Status Sheet.
• Sort and load soiled linens, towels, uniforms and guest laundry according to fabric type and colour.
• Operate industrial washing machines and dryers, apply pre‑treatment for stains and use appropriate detergents and chemicals.
• Handle delicate items using correct cycles, temperatures and solutions.
• Inspect washed items for quality, re‑wash if necessary, then fold, iron and organise them to meet resort standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment, report any malfunctions to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Provide guest laundry service, following specific instructions and ensuring timely delivery.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene protocols, including proper use of protective gear and chemical storage.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and laundry team members to meet daily quotas.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow schedules.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with supervisors.

Required skills

• Experience operating industrial washing and drying equipment.
• Knowledge of proper use and handling of laundry chemicals.
• Basic garment care techniques such as stain pre‑treatment, folding and ironing.
