Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all linens, towels, uniforms and guest laundry are processed efficiently, meet the resort’s quality standards, and are delivered promptly. You will work closely with housekeeping and front‑desk teams to support daily operations in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organise the cleaning schedule using the Room Status Sheet and keep the housekeeping trolley stocked.
• Sort soiled items by fabric type, colour and cleaning requirements; operate industrial washing machines and dryers.
• Pre‑treat stains and heavily soiled items with appropriate chemicals.
• Handle delicate fabrics and guest laundry according to specific instructions, using correct cycles and temperatures.
• Measure and dispense detergents, softeners and other chemicals in compliance with safety protocols.
• Inspect washed items for stains or damage, re‑wash if necessary, then fold, iron and organise the clean laundry.
• Maintain and clean laundry equipment; report any malfunctions to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Provide personalized guest laundry service, ensuring timely delivery.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene guidelines, wear protective gear and keep the laundry area clean.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and laundry teams, communicate issues, and complete duty‑shift checklists.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Physical stamina for standing, lifting and repetitive motions.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and other departments.
• Basic knowledge of local area to answer guest enquiries.
