Laundry Ironer (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a Laundry Ironer to join our housekeeping team at our hotel in Aqaba. The role involves operating washing, drying and dry‑cleaning equipment, handling stained items, and ensuring clean linen is ready for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot‑treatment, rewash or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric types.
• Clean dryer screens, dry‑cleaning filters and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned items by hand or using a folding machine to designated sizes.
• Maintain accurate records of laundered items.
• Follow safety, security and company policies, report accidents and complete required training.
• Maintain a professional appearance and protect company assets.
• Support team goals and suggest improvements for efficiency, quality and cost‑savings.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting items up to 25 lb and moving through various work areas.

Required profile

• No specific education requirement; high school diploma or equivalent not required.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operation of washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machinery.
• Use of chemicals for laundry processes.
• Cleaning and maintenance of lint traps, filters and dryer screens.
• Use of folding machines.
• Accurate record‑keeping of laundry items.
