Legal Advisor

About the role

The Legal Advisor will support Noatum Ports by providing expert legal counsel across commercial, contractual, corporate, and regulatory matters. The role ensures that all business activities comply with international and national legislation while safeguarding the company’s financial and reputational interests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily legal advice to global business units, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
• Review, negotiate, and grant sign‑off on contracts and agreements to minimize risk.
• Develop, update, and monitor compliance‑related policies, procedures, and standards.
• Prepare reports on compliance initiatives, legislative changes, and emerging regulatory trends.
• Assist in legal due‑diligence processes for transactions and maintain accurate corporate documentation.
• Supervise external counsel, prepare briefs, and coordinate legal matters across jurisdictions.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in contractual documentation from clients, vendors, and partners.
• Follow up on claims, disputes, and litigation to achieve lawful resolutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLM or PhD preferred) from a recognized university.
• 12–15 years of proven experience in commercial law, contracts, construction, and project-related legal work, preferably within a leading law firm or corporate environment.
• High proficiency in English and Arabic.
