Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and conducting regular safety inspections. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to prevent loss and ensure a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact emergency services as needed.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and manage vehicle accident or theft scenes.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move quickly when required.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to interact with guests and staff.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and maintain a professional appearance.
