Maintenance Technician – Guest Services & Facility Support

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities are kept in optimal condition. You will respond quickly to repair requests, perform preventive maintenance and support the overall safety and comfort of the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical rooms and building systems.
• Inspect, lubricate and clean equipment; identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform minor painting, drywall, wood‑trim repairs, light‑bulb and A/C filter replacements, and clean work areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical components, TV programming, and other guestroom items.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings using basic computer skills.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Professional appearance, adherence to safety policies and confidentiality standards.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
