Marketing Research and Database Coordinator

About the role

The Marketing Database & Research Coordinator manages, maintains and enriches the marketing database, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, effective segmentation and campaign targeting. The role also covers regional market research, identifying industry events, assessing market opportunities, tracking trends and monitoring developments across markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce data standards (naming conventions, field formats, job titles, industries, countries, cities, phone and email formats) and standardise incoming records
• Find and merge duplicate records, maintain data entry guidelines and track contact acquisition against regional targets
• Source new contacts and accounts matching target profiles, capture and validate leads from events, webinars and campaigns, and build targeted contact lists by region and segment
• Refresh existing records regularly, fix outdated or bounced contacts, enrich incomplete records, run data health audits and monitor news such as mergers, acquisitions and closures
• Maintain a regional calendar of industry events, evaluate their relevance, recommend which to attend, sponsor or exhibit, and collect speaker, exhibitor and attendee information
• Monitor regional developments (regulatory changes, government initiatives, economic conditions, tenders, industry shifts), set up news alerts and flag significant developments to stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Information Systems or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in database management, lead research or market research
• Attention to detail, strong research skills, organisation and awareness of data privacy regulations such as GDPR
• Professional fluency in English

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data validation, conditional formatting, Power Query)
• CRM experience including imports, deduplication and data maintenance
• Contact sourcing and enrichment tools
• Market research sources, industry reports and government and trade publications
• A reporting or BI tool is a plus
